Suggested Icebreaker:  If you knew you only had one week to live, what would be the number one thing on your bucket list?

Passage: Acts 20: 25-38

1.  Why do you think Paul mentions in verse 33 that he coveted no man’s silver, gold, or apparel?

2.  Paul describes how he ministers to others in verses 34-35.  What message do we communicate when we only give and serve others when it is convenient to us?

3.  Discuss why it is more blessed to give than to receive.

4.  We see in verses 29-30 that perverse teachings can and will arise within the church itself.  Discuss how this happens and how this is reflected in the world’s perception of Christianity and God’s Word.

5.  We see in verses 36-37 how the people of Ephesus reacted to Paul’s departure.  Do you think most Christians today would react this way to their Pastor’s departure?  Why or why not?

6.  Application:  What is something we can do to show genuine concern and love to people we know are hurting?  What can/should we do when that love is rejected?

7.  Application:  What will it take for us to live like Paul’s example (in verses 26-27) in faithfully declaring Christ to the world?
